Got one!!
Not much to say other than that I was able to secure a 24 foot caravelle. Very happy!! Will start posting about her when we have her in the flesh. 6 berths, ideal for our size family, size and weights perfect for Europe....
Does not alter my interest in 50's trailers, but that will be another story

She's a beauty!
Can't wait to see the inside. What year is it? Are they really hard to find in the UK?

That is a nice looking trailer although it seems to be too long for a Caravelle, maybe a TradeWind? Post the serial number and someone will let you know for sure.
BTW - welcome to the forums. Sure glad to see a contingent of Airstreamers from across the pond.

Congrats on the new baby!! I saw that one for sale, can't remember if it was ebay or craigslist. It is a sweet AS.

some details
1980 special order caravelle 24 it seems to be. Do not have the serial number but will post as soon as I have that. Special order as I think the bunk beds were not original. Hard to get in the UK? Try the US!! Over the last year I have seen 1 24 for sale in Canada, which was sold in minutes... And I have heard of the existance of 1 22 (through this forum). I know of one for sale at a Vintage Airstream dealer here in the UK and that is about it. Here are some interior pics. The are all from the auction, when I have her here (will be a month) I can post more details. Now I have to figure out what I need to be able to move her from the docks here. 1 incredible difficult thing to find out is the height of the factory hitch receiver as sold in the US for the landrover lr3 (top of the tube) as I will need to purchase a suitable ball mount with enough rise. I will post that q somewhere else here.

Congratulations on the purchase of your Caravelle, she's a beauty! As you can see, I, too, own a 1980 Caravelle 20'. The interior materials are all the same, although I have updated a few things since my purchase in 2003. Best of luck with yours and safe journey.
