1976 Caravanner

What type of plug does the airstream have to connect it to ac power?

Common

You should have a cable that is hardwired to you panel or it may be routed through your Univolt.

As far as the plug end, it is common to any RV type 30 amp 125 volt three prong connector, All campgrounds are the same hook up. You will need 30 amp to 15 amp adaptor to plug into typical house receptacle.

Your favorite Walmart has both.

Thanks. I already have that plug, I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a different type of plug since this as is older than my Terry TT. I just bought the Caravanner on Tuesday for $2600. I do not know if anything works. How are the a/c's in these things? I heard that they are industrial air conditioners. I hope that the a/c works. Would hate to have to replace it $$$$.

Good unit

I love the Caravanner! That is the best floorplan in my opinion.

Let me show you a great looking Caravanner

I am having an amazing effect using simple green.. The accumulated crud from pine trees is coming off like it was never there - I just rub it in, then wipe it off.

I am also totally converted to scrubbing bubbles, for the interior - it looks like a totally different trailer.

Simply green

Thanks! I think I will need to buy it by the gallon. We still have not tackled the inside. I just fumigated it last night. Will try to work on it this afternoon. Long pants, long shirt, hat, gloves, goggles and mask all ready to go. All items are original and probably have not been cleaned in 10 years! Ugh!

Ewww, it sounds yucky! But you're heading off on a great adventure - I'm jealous!

So, for those of us who don't know, what is this spectacular floor layout in the Caravanner? It certainly seems to have enough windows - I LOVE trailers with lots of windows!

Yeah I kind of like it.

The 70's Carravanner lay out is not far off from the late 50's Fying cloud. The big difference in the lay out is the 70's Caravanner had enough extra length to put a Tall Reefer curbside infront of the bath and still retain the Curb side Sofa. The FC had a small reefer below counter in street side galley. The Stove and sink swapped posisiton.

I like the 50's Caravanner. Fixed bed in the rear, Big fridge, Larger wardrobe (that the 70's version didn't have) double sink. The only down side (to some...doesn't bother me) is the wet bath. INSANE amount of storage. With the double bed Goucho 4 can live out of it for a couple weeks and bring plenty of things. Large fridge lends itself to extended trips.

Windows galore

You picked right up on it. There are windows and windows and windows. Lots of seating and all of the ammenities of a larger AS.

The weight is the trade off for the wet bath.
