1976 25ft Caravanner ??

I am interested in a Caravanner but I want to find out what the fresh, grey, and black water capacities are as well as the weight of the trailer. Also are there any negatives to this model trailer other than not having a bedroom ? Also what would be a good value for it ? I would appreciate the help if anyone has a manual with the capacities and weghts. Thanks Davis

We Have One!

Davis,

We have a 1976 Caravanner! It's currently in storage, but we plan on going to check on it in the next few days. We'd be more than happy to check for you, if someone on the forums hasn't gotten back to you.

We love the Caravanner! Gemma loves that you can actually turn around in the bathroom! But she can't stand that the closet is less than two feet wide and there's not a dresser, per se. We both love the abundance of windows and light. We both find it frustrating that there is literally no counterspace for food preparation.

Please let us know if/when you add to your aluminum collection.

Happy and safe journeys,

I've got a line on a Caravanner. Not sure which year but from what I can tell the '76 and '78 have good layouts, but the '77s living room is broken up by the fridge? Quite frankly this is the perfect layout for a 25. In those years the sofas were like futons and can be converted in a snap.
I've always thought these were rare and desirable? Am I right?

I find that my '78 is perfect for me. Lots of closets and shelves, even a pantry and a nice large bathroom. I'm taking out the side couch and replacing it with a good twin bed/daybed. It is easy to tow, great size and layout.

My first Airstream was a 1962 Safari (22 ft.). It had alsmost the same layout, and loving it was esy. It went everywhere, and some places others felt impossible.

Go to Vintage Airstreams, they have all the specs on line. I'll check my '78 manual and send you the specs you need.
