Thank you all for your replies that are coming in to answer our questions. The input so far has really helped us with this decision. We spent last night studying your input as well as searching pricing and alternatives all over the internet. All of the input and data definitely supports the consensus that the price is high. We made an offer on the unit this afternoon ... so we will now wait and see what the response will be.
Steve - You are correct that we spent quite a bit of time working on the current unit. Lots of sweat in the heat this summer as well ... LOL. But we have a couple of challenges facing us with the current unit:
1. HOA restricts us from having the unit at our house beyond several hours at a time (to work on it). And a few neighbors down the street seem to find it a source of irritation when we have it at the house to work on it, or even load/unload it for trips. Gotta love these neighbors that think they live somewhere "grand" ... I think they need to get a reality check and also learn to enjoy life a little.
2. Our technical/mechanical abilities are fairly good ... but also have some "limitations". So I keep getting nervous when I see posts showing older units with rust, structural issues, etc. So far none of these issues have cropped up ... anyway none that we are aware of with our 1988 ... but I start worrying about the unknown or things we can't see. So we are thinking maybe we should get a newer unit and also start preparing for our "retirement unit" ... retirement is a goal about 10 years out from now.

Deal Negotiated
We reached agreement on a price today on the 2006 Airstream 25' International Ocean Breeze. So it appears we have another Airstream. Plans are to possibly pick up the newest acquisition Friday.
I guess now it's time to get the other one ready to sell ... and determine what is a reasonable price to list it at.
Thanks to each of you for your input and suggestions. It was very helpful and has been most appreciated.

Thanks Lance.
I thought owning one Airstream made me worry a little too much about the things that can go wrong. Now with two of these sitting at the storage facility in freezing temps ... it has me running back and forth from the house to the storage facility several times a day to check both of them out. I almost feel like I'm caring for pets or children.
I go and check the batteries, run the furnaces, double check that the water heater plug is open on both (I keep second guessing myself on this one), and I can hardly wait until the temps get back to normal. But the good news is that we may have someone interested ... he is in route to Austin (with a two day drive ahead of him). He should arrive in Austin Saturday. I hope he is not disappointed and that he will find the 1988 to his liking.
I still need to take photos of the unit we just purchased and post them on this thread. Hopefully the forecast for fairly decent temps Saturday (mid 60's) will allow me the opportunity to take some photos.

Wow 2 would drive me to drink! Oh wait, I do! I checked mine after the snow storm and all is well. I removed the snow from the refridgerator vents but the rest was fine. It's funny I fly home and run and check the Bambi! Post your pics and were happy for you both!

Nice rig. We looked at one much like this that was at Country Tyme RV in Georgetown. I really like the interior panels with the circular brushed pattern. The Ocean Breeze is a great decor.

It's a great little town and I think you should should come! What's a 10 hr drive? It's a great reason to tow your new baby! I think you both would enjoy Eureka Springs.
