Unhappy Yacht will not take shore charge

I purchased a well maintained '95 Land Yacht LE 30 and drove it home one week ago. Once home I started the generator, let it run for a few minutes, and shut everything down. This morning, one week later, it did not have enough charge to start the engine - just one short rrrrr. The generator would not start either - it clicked like a low battery usually sounds. I plugged the main cable into shore power about 10 AM and checked to see it was powered up. About noon I checked and there was no charge. I switched the "dock" switch into the alternate position (as there is no mention of it's proper position in the manual). At 3 PM there was still no charge.

When plugged in to shore power the test switch indicates both battery systems are up. When disconnected, there is not enough power to get a reading.

Any thoughts?

Welcome Aboard....

pol,

Probably best to start simple, I would remove the batts, charge completely, let sit for a few hrs and test.
Check all breakers & test for parasitic draw.

KISS usually works.
