We do the same, no problems over 5 years.

Ya. $40 isn’t bad. But I’ve spent thousands this falls outfitting and setting up for our first winter and I’ve hit expense fatigue.

You could use a soup can, or water bottle, with a few zip ties.

Why is my right tail light on?

Or just be a lazy sausage like me and drop it on the ground. Of course here in SoCal it hardly ever rains[emoji3][emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

Of course, in a rainy area, it gets draped so the terminals are pointing downward.

Recently saw a clever chap protect his jack and umbilical cord in a single stroke. He inverted an orange "Homer" drywall bucket over the head of the jack after draping the umbilical over the head of the jack. The trailer was not an Airstream so there was no propane tank cover to restrict the clearance needed for the bucket. Thinking that a gallon milk jug with the top cut out would work fine too.

I have a soft vinyl coated drawstring bag over the hitch. Putting the umbilical over the hitch head and putting the bag over answers the problem if we do have rain in the forecast.

There is a poor ground somewhere and something is drawing juice. Rather than grounding the correct way the unknown source is grounding through the light.

Is not he running lights & power right next to each other on the plug? Wouldn't contact between those light all running lights?

POI....Dielectric grease will help prevent water intrusion into the plug.

It was short to the right turn signal this only the one light. As noted early all resolved on this point.
