Use/Storage switch problem
Purchased my 25' Flying Cloud in March, 2014. Everything runs great with one exception. At my storage site, I have recently discovered that my use/storage switch won't engage. Dead, and nothing turns on. So I connected to the truck, ran it for a minute, and then the switch came on, AND the battery is totally full. This problem has repeated over and over again for the past two months. If the trailer sits for a few days, the use/storage switch seems to disengage from its power source. Any idea what's happening?

Off the cuff it sounds like the battery is discharging to much to activate the relay. Do you hear it click?

How have you confirmed batteries are full?
Have you assured the battery terminal connections are good?

Is does not click. Dead when trying to activate the switch. Batteries are fully charged, and topped off with water. Have double checked all terminals. Any further thoughts?

Loose wire at the switch? Vibration from truck motor causing it to touch and work?
Once on, will it stay on after you disconnect the tow vehicle?

I had the same problem with my 2013 25' International on my first outing with the new trailer. Turns out the switch itself was bad, and it was replaced under warranty.

A couple of things are wired around the battery disconnect and unaffected by it. An easy one is the tongue jack. Can you raise and lower it when the switch is not working. That will confirm the batteries are strong enough to operate the relay, better than a voltage check.
The battery disconnect relay is usually on the lower forward left side, under the seat if you have a front dinette. There should be an access door under the seat cushion, the relay is inside with two large wires and two smaller wires. Check the small wires for voltage. If none there remove the battery switch panel and check for voltage there. The problem is most likely a loose connection somewhere or bad switch, maybe further back. The batteries must actually be strong enough to actuate the relay.

My switch failed, it would only turn off. You could hear the solenoid popping on the off side. The switch felt broken internally on the on side.
My guess the connections from the batteries to the solenoid are suspect, also there are fuses on both, on/off sides of the solenoid.
Loose nuts are usually the cause for intermittent electrical issues.

I would say it is a warrantee issue. Have your dealer make it right. You have a 2 year warrantee on the entire rig.

It's a warranty issue but if something simple like a loose connection it's easier to tighten it down than to take it to the dealer, wait a week or so, and go back and get it only to be told everything checks out.
