USB to female cigarette lighter adapter

I have 2018 Flying Cloud. We use cpap machines that will run on 12v when boo docking. Has anyone seen or used an adapter to operate the cpap from the USB port?

So, there's this:

https://www.amazon.com/ARECORD-Cigar.../dp/B01J67JIOQ

But it's 0.8 amps max. I don't know how much your CPAP draws, but I expect it's probably more than that.

Likely, a better solution would be to tap into the 12V wire supplying the USB outlet and add a 12V cigarette lighter style outlet of your own. That way, you're not stepping down to a 5V 2A USB and then back up to 12V 0.8A.

I use CPAP and 400 watt modified Sine wave inverter plugged into the cigarette lighter. works fine. I use heated hose and humidifier.

I'm on the road and can't find the exact thread here on Airforums but there is one that shows a receptacle from amazon similar to if not the same as this

https://amzn.to/2L81VzL

Check the specs to make sure this one will work. I replaced both USBs in our bedroom to this type of receptacle and run the CPAPs off of them without any problems. No need to run the inverter any more at night.

I run my CPAP in the Airstream by plugging into one of the inverter outlets. My CPAP requires 24v DC so it's either using a brick to downconvert 120V AC or a different one to upconvert 12V DC, and my trailer came with the inverter and the ResMed upconverter is $80-$100. So far the inverter is doing fine.

USB is 5v, most CPAPs are 12-24v, so no, you can't use any kind of adapter.

You can't even reliably charge 2 high-demand USB devices on one of the OEM ports in the Airstream. I now have a nice BlueSea port by my bed because the generic OEM one slagged while charging my phone and iPad at the same time. The very hottest USB standard is 5v/3A (15W) so all you'd be able to do at 12v would be 1.25A (that same 15W) *IF* you had a perfectly-efficient converter.
