up to date instructions for rewiring a '60 Caravel

I am 6 weeks into a "69 Caravel rebuild. Will lift shell soon and am beginning to think about the ALL new wiring job ahead. Do any of you folks know of a book of instructions for how to do this. I have done basic home wiring, but no 12 volt, inverters, converters.....etc. Will appreciate any suggestions. Incidentally, woodworking I can handle and plan on a completely different build out, What fun. Can't wait to get to that stage.

Read lots of electrical posts on the forums and lots of planning ahead.

Good ratcheting crimper for the countless crimps you'll be doing is a very wise investment. Adhesive lined shrink tubing.

Hopefully lewster will hop in, he can give you really good advice on inverter, converter, solar systems. Randy at bestconverter.com can also help withputting together good components.

Now is the time to spend a little extra to get the system set as it gets difficult once its all closed in behind the inner walls, even prewiring for future upgrades on components you'll get down the road, ie solar.

Look for a thread by lucymcdog. It covers most if not all of the wiring in the trailer.
