Univolt question

This is my first post in a long time. My Univolt quit humming. I am trying to sort it out. Will 110 power still work when plugged in if my Univolt is toast?

Thanks in advance
Mark

Thanks, I just checked and your right. I do have power to the outlets, but not power to the battery from the Univolt. Also no humming. Does this mean that the univolt is bad?

Thanks Skater, will I have any issues if I continue to use the Univolt to run the refer until I get a new charger/converter?

Have you checked the circuit breakers? The one that powers the Univolt may be tripped.

Barring Twinkie's suggestion...?

"It's dead, Jim."

ps: if your TT is a '66 model, I wonder if your refer uses 12 volts at all? If it does, and the refer is still running, then the Univolt ain't dead.

If the refer is original, I am fairly certain that it doesn't require 12V, but if I am wrong, there will surely be someone to correct come along right smartly.

Thanks to everyone, I did more trouble shooting and I believe the UV is dead. All breakers are fine, power to the UV, just no power out to the battery. Time for a Inteli-Power.

Can I replace my 30 amp Univolt with the inteli-power PD9245c. Would there be any issues going 45 amp from 30 amp.
Thanks

No, you'll be fine. It would be a good choice.

The 45 amps will just give you more flexibility.

But, now is the time to think about making other changes to your 12 v system such as more battery power and/or AGM batteries. It would be a good idea at this point to make sure you have the best compatability match between charger and batteries.

A good source for advice is Randy at Best Converter.
