Unable to connect battery power

2007 Safari 25 FB works fine on external power or on truck power. No power from trailer batteries which are fully charged. Battery disconnect fuse (5 amp) on panel under bed is good. Any ideas?

You could have a bad disconnect solenoid. You can wire around the solenoid if necessary. Find the heavy red cable (battery direct) at the bottom of the positive bus bar and add a jumper cable (6AWG minimum) and connect it to the right side (the other heavy red cable that leads to your power center) of the solenoid, leaving cable #2 in it's place. This will power your entire trailer.

Of course, disconnect your batteries BEFORE attempting this work-around!

***It would also be prudent to check the fuses on the solenoid and using a DC volt meter, check the solenoid to see if it indeed works or doesn't. If you don't follow any of this or unfamiliar with the proper use of a meter, find an RV tech who does and have them do it.

I don't know how your trailer is wired, but on my 2001 trailer the disconnect switch disconnects both the batteries and the converter from the 12V fuse panel. As a part of the 12V distribution system there is a "resettable fuse" or circuit breaker that is thermally activated in the line to the batteries. If that was bad, everything else would work, but not the trailer batteries. You said the battery disconnect fuse was good, but said it was a 5 amp. Did you mean 50? If so, then ignore the above.
