TV Interference

We have a 2017 FC 25 and have horrible interference on both of our TV pictures when using the mushroom antenna. We do not have any problems when using our DISH Navigator sat signal so it's not the TV.

At times, we've been able to worsen the problem by cranking the LED ceiling lights and also able to reduce (but not eliminate) by dimming or turning the lights off. We are also able to create the problem by running the shower fan.

I've searched the forums and others have experienced the same problem but it doesn't appear to be widespread based on the limited posts I've found. Or maybe it's limited to 2016 & 2017? I don't know but I do know it isn't acceptable. Here's an example http://www.airforums.com/forums/f44/...ms-157711.html

So does anyone have a 2016 or 2017 that doesn't have TV interference when using the digital antenna?

I don’t see any replies to this issue and I see it is now over three years ago. I’m having the same issue in a 2018 27’ Globetrotter. I’m very interested in resolving this issue. Any solutions?

My 2018 experiences the issue when the LED ceiling lights are turned up high or the fans are in... I researched it too but found no solution offered. I just turn down the lights.. turn off the fan ... open the windows & curtains for light and air flow.

The fans in my SOB cause this. It has been suggested that a capacitor installed across the power leads of the motor will help. I have not tried that yet.

Hi

The problem is called RFI (radio frequency interference) you notice it in an RV because the TV signals are pretty weak to start with. Also the antenna and fan (or lights) are quite close to each other. Indeed you can play with capacitors and ferrite based common mode chokes. It is unlikely you will see a major improvement.
