Surge Protector

Weve had her 3 years. Can someone tell me if there is a surge protector integrated into the power system or is it something thst needs to be installed?

It did not come from the factory with one.

There are models that are added on, between the power inlet and the breaker panel.
Or, there are portable models that the power cord plugs into.
