Solar install Question for 2016 25' FB Int. Serenity

Has anyone installed the charge controller, breakers etc. under the bed of a 25' front bed? We are planning on 2 AGM batteries and I would like to keep them in the existing battery box. Later if we ever go to 4 batteries. I would probably do a custom box for the same spot or move them to just behind the divider in the main storage compartment under the bed.

The attached picture shows this area. The inverter is there and existing wiring runs out here. I think there is enough room to fit the controller and breakers. My only concern is the length of the run from the controller to the batteries being to long? If this is a good spot where would you pull / run the solar panel run?

Thanks!

I removed the board between the electrical and the storage compartments for better access. The Yellow and Green wires pointed at by the screwdriver (fist image) are the wires to the solar panel connectors on the roof. The blue CAT-5 wire supposed to go to the panel in kitchen, but I never found it. I ended up running a new wire to the cabinet above the kitchen.

I used the inverter's wire to connect to the Victron 712 shunt (second image), so I piggyback on them for the connection to the batteries. Shunt is located just above the inverter. These are 4 AWG wires, so should be plenty for the solar charger.

sorry for the late response. I am camping in Joshua Tree and internet is spotty.
My controller is on the wall left of the inverter.
The wires are fine. There is always some loss in the wires, but it in is 1-2% range. If you are concerned, better add another panel for 30-50% gain. Running 8 AWG wires would probably cost more and take more work.
