They are installed on the roof inside the air conditioner unit. Yes it is a DIY installation.

It took me about 45 minutes per air conditioner (I have 2 ACs).

Love these forums... glad I looked on here before buying something randomly. I'm buying two of the 364's from Amazon/Hutch Mtn now...

Just curious, does anyone find the bluetooth useful? I'm thinking I'll skip the BT.
