RV Surge Protectors

What to some of you use for Surge Protection on the newer ASs? Camping World has some that are pricey and I'm curious what seems to be working for those that have newer units with TV, Stereos etc. Thanks.

I've never had a whole-house surge suppressor on my house, but I do plug electronics into a good surge-suppressor power strip. What's probably more important is having phone lines that go to expensive things like computers and satellite receivers run through a phone-line surge suppressor.

I see no need for an expensive whole-house surge suppressor on the Airstream.

We are using

Electrical Management Systems model EMS-PT30B from
Progressive Industries, Cary, North Carolina.

My neighbor at the latest Commonwealth rally had one and when I asked about it, he gave it high marks and noted that he was sure it had protected him on at least 2 occasions. I ordered one when we got home and have used it only twice since, but I have no complaints about its design or functions.

surge protector

Thanks Aluminauts. I also see how it's locked as well. I'm worried about putting one outside where it can get stolen (and rained on). Some of the ones I see advertised can be mounted inside somewhere. With RV park surges, reversed polarity, etc. I'm worried about frying an LCD TV, Stereo, Microwave. tank monitors. etc
