Rotary 12V Bath Vent Switch

In the process of "enhancing" our '88 Excella 25 bath vent with new screen, I managed to destroy the little rotary switch with round plastic knob that controls the on-off noisemaker fan under the up-down aluminum dome.. Switch appears to be 1/2' in diameter, with plastic claws that retain it in small hole at side of vent screen. It has pair of wires attached, and turns from on to off to on in 360 degrees..

None of local home center places carry anything similar. Seems like a common "RV Parts" item, but no luck at Camping World.com or other sites.. Any suggestions for part number or source??

I replaced the same switch, fan blade and lid on my '86 a few years back. The fan unit is made by VentLine, I was able to find all of my parts from the local RV dealer.

I found the switch at Lowes, but had to ask for help in finding it. They had it hid in with other small electric switches in little plastic bins. It is a common switch.

I also put in a 2 ohm 10 watt wire wound resistor to slow down the fan a bit and lower the noise.

Does that resistor get warm enough to worry about?

The two ohm resistor didn't. Besides, I mounted it just below the fan blades so that air is pulled past it when running.
