2014 27' Flying Cloud My Airstream was connected to shore power to top off the batteries. Noticed this morning several of the right turn signal LED lights were dimly lit and seemed to be fluttering. I disconnected shore power and turned on the "store" switch. It is my understanding the only electrical activity with the store switch activated is the carbon monoxide detector and the trailer's braking system. I connected the trailer to my truck and checked the lights. Running lights worked as expected as does the left turn signal. The right turn signal functions but the lights that were lit without the truck being connected did not blink. The same lights on the left turn signal blink correctly.
What would cause some of the right signal LED lights to be lit while connected to shore power and when in the store-mode?
I had a similar issue, rain water entered the seven way connector causing it. I purchased a cap for the seven way and store the seven way cap up with reusable plastic tie alongside power jack, water can’t enter it.
That makes some sense. Temperature was in the 30’s and humidity increased during the day. The lights were very dim early in the day and grew brighter as humidity increased. Harness connector was facing toward the ground but some sort of condensation would account for the short allowing the lights to be on.
If you decide to purchase the cap, storing your connector as you mentioned will not keep water out totally, mine isn’t waterproof. Store if facing skyward. Added benefit helps keep dirt away from contacts.
