Resetting 12 volt circuit

Hi!

If may be stating the problem incorrectly as Pete is camping without the computer and he is trying to explain the situation to me over the phone because I have the computer at home---but here goes!!

Pete removed the screen from the bathroom fan for cleaning as described in the thread about bathroom fan cleaning. When he cut the wire it popped the 12 volt circuit.

Following the directions in the trailer manual he located the 12 volt panel under the gaucho---BUT---

There doesn't appear to be any way to reset anything. Nothing is 'popped' or 'slid' in the manner of a 110 panel.

So, any thoughts on how to reset the 12 volt circuit?

He sent me a picture of the panel, but when I tried to post it here, all I managed to do was lose the entire post I had written out.

Any help would be appreciated, and I will forward it on!!

Hi, I just checked my trailer and you need to look inside of the fuse panel. The circuit breakers are for the 120 volt system and the fuses are for the 12 volt system. In my fuse panel it shows a 20 amp [yellow] fuse in the number one position, top left. It controls a few other things and the bathroom fan in my trailer. Read the information inside of the fuse panel door.

Hi, Cathy. I meant the yellow fuse on the left, not top left. If your panel is the same as mine, and wired the same, the fuse should be easy to find and replace.

Hi, having a hard time posting second picture; WIFI is weak here. I'll try again. If you click to enlarge picture, so you can read the label, mine says "Circuit #1 compartment lights, bedroom lights, and bathroom fan". Replace the yellow fuse on the far left. [if your panel is the same as mine]

I searched for a thread that covers bathroom screen cleaning so I could see Why you would have to cut a power supply wire in the job. Can't find any. Nor, can I figure out the wire cut in the first place. I hope the fuse replacement works. (Besides, just cutting the power wire should not pop the fuse.)

Hi, I don't know how to find that thread either, but I cut my wires, one at a time, and replaced the switch with a much better one. And it makes cleaning the vent a lot easier.
