Renogy 100Ah battery installation

Apologies if this has been addressed already. If so, I cannot find the thread.

Has anyone installed Renogy 100 Ah batteries in the battery box? If so, how did you modify the box?

We just installed 2 of the RBT100LFP12SH. They are the smart Lithium with self heating. We have a 2014 Flying Cloud 27FBT. I went with these since they fit the current battery box. I also purchased the Bluetooth module BT2. Since I was concerned about water, I went with a Victron shunt and only use the Bluetooth when I want to see the true state of the batteries. That way the rubber flaps keep the RJ45 connections dry. The BT2 shows an accurate reading and shows the total state charge in each battery. You can also put these into storage mode. I believe renogy calls it "Shelf Mode". One tip I learned, is that you have to have the batteries linked with a cat5 or higher cord, then they can be put into shelf mode.

They charge super fast and the BMS works great and shuts the incoming power when they have reached full charge.

Since they don't have a waterproof rating, I put a 1/8" foam seal around the door to the battery box. We camped in Santa Fe, NM all weekend and got a lot of rain and no issues. I believe that if you don't connect the batteries with the RJ45 cables and leave the rubber flaps down then you lessen the chance of water getting in the battery

I know a lot of people on this forum recommends Battleborn and I would have gone with them, but they wouldn't fit our battery box. So far really happy.

Renogy has a range of 100AH batteries. They have gone through three generations of lithium and also have lead acid / AGM's. Which one you are looking at will matter a lot in terms of size and fit.
