Regarding PD 30 EMS..

I am going to leave my trailer plugged in Florida for the next 7 months with a de humidifier running on a timer. My question is whether to use the EMS or just plug in directly to the power pedestal? If the surge protector kicks off for some reason will it reset itself and start with power again? Or will it require some sort of manual attention. I have used a PD ems for 10 years on my other trailer but do not really know the answer since I have always checked it and reset when it kicked off for some reason. My gut feeling is to go without the EMS to be sure of having power all summer.

What type of switch is on the dehumidifier?

I keep a heater and dehumidifier in my trailer during the winter. If we lose power the heater doesn't restart because the power switch is electronic/digital. The dehumidifier comes back on. It has a mechanical power switch.
