Hey all, I ordered a 40W Zamp solar panel. It is one of the portable, prewired units. My 2018 Airstream is prewired for solar, and the Zamp is the recommended unit, and is supposed to be "plug and play."
I've plugged it in, and the solar unit appears to be working. The "charging" light is flashing. However, the red "fault" light is also on.
Am I missing a step? Is there a switch I should turn to deliver the charge to the battery.
I use a Zamp 160 portable setup. I added the Zamp connector to the batteries and every thing works fine. As I understand it, the factory wiring install for Zamp products is reversed....hence your problem. A more knowledgable member will enlighten you on how to reverse the wiring.
