Power Breaker will not reset

My breaker is tripped and will not re-set. The breaker box is located beneath ref. and has 3 breakers. The one with the test button will not reset. Can anyone help?

That`s the gfi breaker,it is either detecting a ground fault or is a bad breaker. You can dis connect the outlet from the breaker and see if it will reset,if it won`t,you need a new breaker. If it will reset, you need to start taking apart the receptacles it feeds and checking them out. Dave

GFCI breakers do not like moisture....you may disconnect the wires
leaving the GFCI breaker and see if it will reset with nothing connected
to it. If yes, then proceed outward.....if no then replace the breaker.

New or old these can be tempermental......persistance will pay.

Uh... first try this. Push the flipped breaker to OFF, then reset to ON.

When it flips it goes to sort of a middle position - ask me how I know

before you replace ground fault, check to see that you have a good source of electric and ground from house power. use circuit tester at house plug, then on circuits not on ground fault.
