Question Partial power to trailer

I have not used my 1997 34' Classic since April due to major surgery and chemotherapy, but now I'm itching to get back on the road. I hooked up to my truck yesterday and only got power to my running lights. No jack and no interior power at all. The power switch is on. Any suggestions?

Yes the batteries are dead.

The batt's are dead, but I was hooked up to my truck and power is getting through to the running lights on the trailer.

Let's see. How can I explain this? The power provided through your seven-pin connector is split into different circuits. You have a dedicated circuit for you running lights. There is another dedicated circuit for your brake lights. Indeed there is a circuit for your battery and your truck will keep your trailer battery charged as you travel down the road, but it can't provide enough amperage to a dead battery to power your trailer jack.

Talking 4 Ops

In the last 5 years, I've had a kidney removed, both upper lobes on my lungs, an adrenal gland, a piece of liver, and a resection on the inferior vena cava. Also treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and 2 different rounds of chemo. Right now I am supposed to be cancer free. Maybe we can get together and compare scars. We may get the trailer out in a week and a half. I charged the batteries today and everything seems to be working OK. Thanks for your suggestions.

Good to know you'll be back on the road, at least what's left of you. Happy trails!
