Options to use "regular" extension cord when storing RV

A 50 AMP RV system is a 240 volt system. When converting to a 30 amp service via a dogbone, are both 120 volt bus-bars connected to the same Hot wire? I can't think of a reason that doesn't work as long as there are no 240 volt appliances in the RV.

Go here, see this: https://www.amazon.com/ALEKO-L15-50-...64560412&psc=1 I have one of these and use it when plugged in at my home for battery upkeep,or a small electric heater, or on the road when I need to use my 2000 watt suitcase Honda gen for the coffeemaker, or the microwave, and do not want to drag out the big 50A cord. It works perfectly, but I did get mine from ebay for 2/3 this price. Enjoy. I hope the link shows up as a link for you and anyone else who is interested.

The boss uses it to clean prior to departure. Even if it isn't needed, easier to turn it on then hear about it not being on when hot water wanted ;-).
