Cool Now Watt?

Ok, I've done the solar/converter/battery upgrades, tire/wheel upgrades, and DW had the new dinette removed and custom lounge, dinette installed. All this on a new 2015 AS. Now I read that shore power is not reliable at many rv parks and I might fry all my electronics. Does anyone have reliable experience/advice on surge protectors? I'd rather not have to go back to work or mortgage the house to continue filling the money pit.

I wouldn't worry at all about shore power. If you want some comfort just by a little 110 volt meter that plugs into an outlet in the coach or at the shore power station to make sure you are getting 110-120v. They cost about $10. I got one when I bought my trailer and used it for a while and then gave up because I simply wasn't seeing any issues at the places where I camp.

I would not say "many", I would say some. After many years camping I have only had a problem at one park. But then again I am not big into technoelectronics.

I have seen quite a few parks with low voltage....and it isn't consistent throughout the day even. While I do have a simple meter in an outlet to glance at, I do have a SurgeGuard...not so much for surges....but for the auto-shutdown at low voltage. Problem with just a meter is....I'm not always there to monitor it constantly.

From Longboard6's DW: Dinette switch is not quite finished. I'll post photos ASAP when it is done done. I'm loving the change. It's opened up floor space!!!! in the kitchen & given us a place to just sit & stretch out & watch TV. A couch instead of a dinette.
