No power to LP gas detector

The LP gas detector failed in our 2008 23D; was beeping all night long and flashing amber; I cut the wires so we could get some sleep.
I purchased new LP leak detector to replace the failed unit. Now there are no lights on the detector and no power on that circuit (voltage meter says it's zip).
The black/white stripe and white wires disappear into a wiring harness under the fridge.
All the fuses look good; not sure which circuit the LP gas leak detector gets connected to.

Can anyone tell me which circuit these wire go to? Where do I find their end point?

Meantime we go camping without the LP leak detector...not a good idea I'm sure.

Ideas are welcome...

Perversely, but logically, when power is cut to the detector (such as when your house batteries go dead) the detector will beep and the light will flash in order to warn you that it will not be working for very long.

Is it possible that somehow you lost power to the unit, and the new one needs to be connected for awhile before its internal battery is charged enough to operate? What I am suggesting is that the original power problem is still the cause for the new one's failure.

Good luck. Pat

Jim,

My 2006 did the same thing. It was a blown in line fuse.
It wasn't marked to let you know what it was. In my case it was located
under the front couch in a bundle of wires going to the convertor area. The
plastic fuse holder was yellow in color.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion Pappy. I'll go digging...since AS doesn't give out wiring diagrams I'll have to look for the inline fuse following your tip.

LP detector problem chart

Jimmy T,

The following link has a troubleshooting chart that identifies what the different light colors and beeping noises mean. I found it when I had a problem with my detector. I keep a copy of it in my trailer for future reference. Luckily, mine was a reset and the problem never came back.
