New To Solar

I have 270 watts of roof top solar. My Victron Energy display was reading “fetching history”. Mike at Lazy Days helped me fix it by unplugging and replugging the Blue Solar charge controller. Now reading 9w. I’m on shore power with full battery. Sunny day, but partially in shade. Is the 9w because my battery is full? Where does the collector send the excess power?

The solar controller will only put out power when it thinks the trailer thinks it needs it. So yes, the low output is because the battery is full and the shore power connection is keeping the voltage up.

The "unused" power from the solar panels doesn't really go anywhere. The panels will be at their full voltage, but the solar controller is refusing to take more than a tiny amount of the current that is potentially available. In (simple) electrical systems, power equals voltage times current, so when current is near zero, there isn't much power. In your case, the power is just not being created even though there is potential to create that power.

As SSQUARED said, yep. As a test, when the wattage production is so low, unplug from shore power, go around and turn on some draws...fantastic fans on high, range vent, lights on high...you'll see the wattage increase suddenly and dramatically when the controller sees the spike in power consumption. It's actually kind of cool to see that happen.
