Mystery Yellow Wire Running Along LP Line

I am disconnecting the propane so we can paint the tongue and get it cleaned up. I found that there is a yellow wire at the tongue that connects to a small metal plate with two screw holes. The plate is not connected to anything and is just dangling. The wire runs from the tongue and then along LP line under the AS. Can anyone identify what this mystery wire is for? I couldn't find it in the wiring diagrams.

Inside lp tank gauge? I think, traditionally, one is yellow and one is red.

To be honest I am not too familiar with gas systems, and we just got the AS so I'm still trying to figure out what is what. There is a wire attached to each of the propane tanks, I assume they are for the fuel level gauge? I am not sure if the yellow wire is a part of the gauge system or something separate. The plate is not attached to anything, and only the yellow wire is attached to the plate. I posted a pic in the first post that shows the metal plate and the wire.

Here is a close up of the plate with the yellow wire. In the background is the disconnected propane line under the tongue. The wire runs along the propane line. Any ideas what this wire is for?
