Mystery Wires
Hi,
Can anybody help with this question?
We bought a used, like new ’91 26ft Excella and after 10k miles of flawless service, and I recently discovered two severed wires near the A-frame hitch area (see photos below). One wire is yellow, the other is red, both look to be about 14gGa. I did not put them there, so I don’t know the purpose. Can anybody tell me what the former owner might have used these wires for?
Here are some clues:- These two wires are NOT original equipment. They were attached with electrical tape to run along the outside and follow the thick black seven-way cord all the way to the interior of the cabin.
- These two wires are NOT part of the seven-way plug assembly/wiring harness (ruling out my Left Turn and Back Up wires).
- The wires from the emergency brake switch and the power jack are already connected to other wires which travel inside of the A-frame. (And they work just fine!)
- Inside the cabin, these two wires DO NOT terminate anywhere near the battery or univolt.
- I traced these two wires inside the cabin and they proceed under the paneling and go UP…toward the front window.
I decided not to remove the couch and paneling for fear of 'that look'…so would really appreciate any thoughts you might have.
I have tried to attach the photos below

I hate to be the one to say it, but you are going to have to see where the mystery wires go. Could be anything.

Could be for a 12 volt supply to a reefer.
