Microwave upgrade

Hey all. Want to upgrade the stock standard Danby microwave in my 2020 Bambi 22FB. I'd like to go and replace it with what I think is the convection option AS installs when that option is purchased: http://www.contoureusa.com/copy-of-rv-185b-con-1. Questions:

1) Anyone knows if it is indeed the right model AS upgrades to?
2) Given AS installs this model, is it just a case of unscrewing the current trim, removing the old, putting in the new and installing the new trim kit? Or would there be work required to adapt the opening?
3) What about power. Current unit is 1350 watts. New one 1500 watts. No upgrade needed to electrical I'd assume?

Any help appreciated.

Nic

Haven’t completed the job yet. The microwave above is indeed the right model and I purchased it.

However, it is too large to fit in the current opening. Enlarging in shouldn’t be too complicated if you’re a bit handy but the issue is the trim wood piece right above it. It would need to be narrowed by about 2 inches. That in and of itself shouldn’t be too much of a problem either. Cutting is easy. But, you’d then have to reapply the rubber edge all around it. Not sure I’d be able to find the right material to match. Also, I’m not sure how that trim is attached, screwed or glued. Latter would be more of a problem as removing it would damage the panel.

So, I parked the project for the summer as it was too big of a job and we camp a lot. No time to do it. My AS is in storage right now for the winter with no access to it.

My plan is to order from AS the front cabinet panel and trim to modify them at home during the winter and replace it come summer. Assuming of course cabinet panels are not glued or stapled and screwed, which is what I gather from looking around and doing some other work in my trailer.

This is only where I’m at I’m afraid!

Thanks for updating. First concern had been the power requirement. Sounds like that is ok. Then the space , I was worried the depth might be an issue but apparently not. I have asked AS about it but haven’t received a response as yet..your idea about purchasing a new face makes sense. A good approach! Thanks again !
