Installed it this weekend in the 11000 BTU on our 16 Sport. Easy to do and works as advertised. Starts and runs on a honda 2000 in eco mode.
No need to stand or sit on the roof. Begin on street side to remove the cover screws. Move to curb side, remove cover screws and follow instructions regarding removing two unneeded components and wiring.
Only differences are: (1) the only place the EasyStart will fit is inside the electrical box and should be secured by a metal screw (2) the "bottom" of the box should be trimmed to reduce the overall length and (3) the pigtail needs to be cut to about 10 inches. (I would remove the sheath completely if I were to do it again.)
Tips:
Make the electrical connections before securing the unit in the box.
Use blue tape to hold back to box cover - no need to cut styrofoam.
Don't spend the $10 on the install kit - you will only use two female disconnects and two closed end splice connectors. (I would use butt connector for the brown to white and a wire nut for the black to blues instead of splice connectors if I were to do it again. )
