I agree.

I’ve done some research and pulled the wiring diagrams for my airstream. I am attempting to post a photo of my breaker panel because I made an invalid assumption. I assumed the blue breaker was the main breaker just by visual reference. It seemed logical to me that the breaker by itself was the main breaker, but it’s not. the main breaker is on the far left in green. It was the blue breaker that tripped. The wiring diagram says the blue breaker is for the bathroom, refrigerator, galley, and outside receptacles. So the breaker that tripped was not the main breaker. That’s why the microwave and air conditioner was still operating.

Now it all makes sense. All you have to do now is find out what tripped the breaker.

Yes, it all makes sense now. That looks to be the GFCI breaker, it may have gone bad.

A splash of water on that circuit is all it takes to trip it .
Perhaps if you were in a campground that has a lawn in your site and the sprinklers came on a sprayed you outside outlet that may be a cause .
Or water splashed in the kitchen or bathroom may be another possibility .

Gfci protection are a good idea in wet areas but can be fun to diagnose .

As I said in post #10, it sounds like the GFI breaker. In our trailer even very high humidity can trip this breaker. If it continues to trip, replace it as it is likely the original and they do "go bad". If you don't feel comfortabel doing the replace, get an electrician to do it for you. A simple "plug and rewire".

Now it’s all starting to make sense. We are camping in Morro Bay and have been experiencing severe fog for several days.

You have just had a "learning experience" in dealing with your trailer problem. Many of us on this forum have "done that and repaired that" ourselves. Most of use do not have degrees in anything other than experience and common sense. Owning an Airstream is no different that owning a home, other than every time you move the Airstream it is like an earthquake shaking it. If you have a problem, look closely at everything and check for all causes. Most of the people here will give good advise from experience, some will give ideas to explore, and some will answer just to have their post numbers be large. Don't be afraid to ask for help, but view all answers and determine they are relevent and applicable.

We were camping in Colorado in an “over-capacity” area (the campground had no spaces available but allowed us on the property for a small fee but we were on our own…boondocking on the premises….and they allowed us to use our generator.)

In the middle of the night everything shut-down including the generator. The converter main breaker was “popped”. I reset it, and went out reset the generator, and restarted it. Went inside and turned the AC back on…and everything shut down again.

I thought it was the AC…so I reset everything, left the AC off…restarted the generator…went inside, reset the converter C.B….and everything failed again as the gen shut down again.

Removing the cover to the converter, I discovered overheated components on the main board of the converter.

Next day, called the local RV repair centers and found they did not have our particular converter circuit board in stock…and all gave me a TWO WEEK delivery schedule for a $200 pricetag. (Most of them wanted me to change my original converter to one of the units they already had in-stock…but that would have required more re-wiring and modification of my Airstream and would not guarantee the replacement unit would fit the exact same space. I decided it would be best to keep the exact same unit rather than attempt such modifications on-the-road.)

I got on Amazon, found the converter board, (WFCO-55A unit), ordered it, selected the Colorado Springs (our next destination) Whole Foods Store Locker…and it arrived overnight for less than $65. Went to the Whole Foods Store, entered the Amazon “code” sent to me in an email…and the locker opened up and THERE WAS MY NEW CONVERTER PART!

Took almost 15 minutes to install…(simple tools, screwdriver and needle nose pliers, plug-and-play connectors)…and that was 5 years ago and it’s still working perfectly!

Main breaker tripped last night while connected to shore power. The breaker will not reset. Microwave and air conditioner still work. One 110 outlet in the bedroom still working, but other 110 outlets are dead. Refrigerator switched from AC to propane and will not switch back to AC. Nothing is currently connected via the 110 outlets. Any ideas what’s going on?
Sounds like you may have tripped a gfi plug. Make sure you check them all, including the outside plug.
