Has anyone ever installed one of these electrical outlets? My 2013 International has these, and the one the TV is connected to only has one working outlet, the other is a dummy. I'm not sure why AS did this. I was trying to plug in a cable tv box to this tv but the only working outlet in the area had the tv plugged into it. I would like to swap this out with the same type of outlet, only one that has 2 outlets in it. I saw a PDF show a tool used to compress this outlet and I'm not sure if that's required. I will include a picture to help visualize this.

This is the tool I saw for installing, but I'm not sure if it's required.

Do you have an inverter? If so, could it be wired to the other outlet?

My 2014 FC 20' has one of those strange one plugin only outlets too, but it is on the inverter circuit. I just put a simple cube tap on it when I want more places to plug in. No need to make a big project.....grin.

The tool isn't required...but it is a bit tricky to insert the wire into its compression slots without it. Do you have a link to the website from whom you are shopping?
