How many batteries do you have?

I'm wondering how many boondockers and solar people we have here who have extra electrical storage. Post comments or pics to this thread, as well, if you wish, especially if you've figured out a clever way to mount more batteries. I've seen a few photos and comments in other threads, but would still like to encourage everyone to post here.

We have a 34' with 4~120 watt Evergreen panels, 3000 watt Xantrex inverter and 8~batteries. We can run the 15k btu A/C unit for 6 hours...

Not just boondockers and solar people. I'm about 50/50 on and off the grid. No solar. Have a generator I hardly ever use. Just one 200amp hour 4B AGM battery. Good for up to a long weekend on it's own.

I have upgraded to gel cells. Lasts a long time (2 or three days with furnace with 25 deg nights), only about .1 volt drop per storage month, and no maintenance. Here is a thread in which I describe my process.

Just got one battery right now, but in Feb. I'm gonna' get two more installed, plus two solar panels. One is just not enough for more than a night or so of boondocking without running the generator. Solar panels won't put out near the same current as the generator, but they do it all the time there's sunlight, never have to change the oil or air cleaner or spark plug or haul fuel, and ya' know, they're so quiet you can hardly hear them running!!!

How we generate and store those pesky electrons. Two 12v Lifelines, 110 v solar panel, two Honda 2000's and one slightly used power cord for shore power. Oh, and the TV in between stops.

Hey Artstream! Are you going to be at the Can Opener?
