Honda generator 2000i

Just ordered a new Honda generator 2000i. My question is on the best way to charge my 25'FC batteries. Which is better to use dc cables from the gen/set to the batteries or the 30 amp AS power cord from the generator to the trailer and let the charging system on the AS charge the batteries? thanks!

30 amp shore power cord and your onboard converter. The 12V DC provisions only supply a small current and it would take a very long time to fully charge your batteries.

You'll need an adapter from your 30a cord to plug in to your Honda but that's the best way to charge your batteries with it.

Like the others have said, get one of these and use your shore power cord connected to the Honda.

The generator will put 8 amps with the wire kit , probably more through the power cord...
