GFCI tripping all the time
I have never had this issue, but we are currently seeing our GFCI trip (while we are awake at least) every 10-30 minutes. We are hooked up at a 50a site with a progressive industries surge protector. Water heater is on electric. No loads we don’t normally use.
I have done a lot of testing by unplugging various items on GFCI outlets to no avail. I cannot isolate the problem, and I am looking for additional thoughts on what could be causing this.
I have a couple of questions:
- does the water heater run on a GFCI circuit? Has anyone heard of the water heater causing a GFCI trip? Since the heater is probably not running during the warm nights, I was wondering if it could be the issue since the GFCI only seems to trip while we are up and using the trailer actively.
- could the fridge be the issue? I looked in the fridge compartment from the outside. Seems dry and nothing caught my eye
Any thoughts/help would be most welcomed!
Thanks.
