Generator Neutral-Ground Question - What's Needed?

Hello all. I saw a thread recently but can't find the dang thing and searching isn't yielding me with proper results.

I just bought the Honda EU2000's (the 2000i and the 2000iA Companion). I also ordered the Honda Parallel Cables, which I didn't realize also came with an RV adapter plug. Finally, I also ordered a Honda L530P RV adapter plug
http://www.amazon.com/Honda-L530P-RV...dp/B00864S2CU/
I assumed this plug had a Neutral-Ground connection, but it doesn't! Will I still need this plug? And exactly what is needed to plug my Classic into the dual generators?

Thanks,
Rich

Thumbs up

Here is a post where Robert@Honda answered my question..

Your adaptor will work.

I use a 'doggone' that I modified, same procedure that Robert used.

Heres more info

DOHHHHHHT - I found the answer in the first post of the search output you provided: "You only need one plug even if you are using 2 generators in parallel."

But would still be cool if you took a look at the first part of my question about the L530P. :-)

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply, Bob, but a quick follow-up. I'm confused. You're saying my adapter will work, but, when I checked for continuity between the ground and other two prongs, the circuit was open (for both the L530P and the second adapter with the parallel cables). So, it would appear that my adapter should not work ... ? I don't have the trailer yet and I'm trying to get everything ready for its arrival.

Is it fair to assume that I just need to make an N-G plug? And that plugging this in to either generator's 120v circuit will bond the Neutral-Ground at all generator outputs on both gensets?

Many thanks!
Rich
