Fuse Block replacement - help

It looks like I need to replace the fuse block the powers the 12V interior lights, fans, etc. The block has five 20A fuses and one 50A fuse where the power from the battery and univolt come in to power the block.

Has anyone had to replace this? Will I need to fabricate something or purchase something to accomodate both the 20A and 50A fuses???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Try NAPA or AutoZone they have a lot of this stuff in the "electrical aisle". If you really need something special www.jcwhitney.com, www.jegs.com or www.summitracing.com have all kind of fuse bocks.

looking at the distribution fuse blocks from blue sea i see some problems.

1> not rated for 50A
2> it's unclear if the connections for the wiring are substantial enough. they should accomodate at least #6 wire and be of the clamping type so as to avoid failure-prone crimp on connectors.
3> no gold plating, a serious benefit

I built a new fuse box into a plastic project box from radio shack. I also kept the ground shunt from the univolt to keep my amp meter working on the main panel.

It has worked fine. Here is a photo of it:

I would start with the 50a fuse block http://www.bluesea.com/product.asp?P...1=7958&l2=6609 for the feed buss, then feed the distribution fuse block from that. Depends on whether you want to use the glass tube type fuses, or the blade style, and whether you want to stick with five/six circuits or provide expansion and go with twelve slots. I really like the ability to label the fuse positions (make your own, or buy from bluesea, they have hundreds), and I would definitely get one with a cover.
