FB-electrical access, take bed apart?

I have a 25 FB and was trying to get access to the battery bus bar and the solar controller. AS provided a small plywood cutout under the curbside of the mattress, but that was too small to do anything and lifting the bed up does not let me get close enough to the curbside.
Do you experienced folks need to remove the mattress and remove the plywood on the bed frame to get access up there? Worse than my boat......

Funny, i just did that yesterday in my new 20' FC.

Yes, for easy access you need to remove the mattress, then (at lest on mine) take the screws out on the front curved section of the bed platform which will allow it to be removed and then access is not at all difficult to the electrics there.

It is not difficult and makes work on those items much easier.

Thanks IDROBA,

I suspected that the norm is to take the trailer apart. In 30 years of working on boats my practice is to squeeze into small spaces since you really cannot take walls, floors, and cabinets apart and then put them back together. I need to rethink the whole process of access, it seems.
