Smile Entry point for phone / other cables?

Since I'll be living in my A/S fulltime in the near future, I've got phone service being hooked up and eventually some type of internet service. Where (how) do I bring the cables into the trailer itself, without affecting the integrity of the unit, and not creating any leaks? Is there a place for cable entry on the trailer, or do I need to make my own?

Thanks!
John-Boy

There a few mentions on the forums, but I think you have to be creative on where it will best suit you to have it enter your trailer.

I came in through the bottom of my trailer. When I redid the plumbing there was a hole left over where the relief valve was.

I also notice a small circle about 4" where there is a screen that goes right through. Don't know what its for but it could work as well.

Look under your trailer and see whats already there.

Good luck!

Mine goes in thru the fridge compartment vent. The one on the underside. We installed a phone jack in the fridge compartment then will be running the cables behind the credenza to a jack in the stero compartment or close to it. All you do to hook up the cable is open the fridge compartment and feed the wire thru the screen in the floor. No new holes necessary.

Tim, would that small round screened area happen to be the bathroom vent?

my excella has a cable and phone jack factory installed in the electric cord bay.

you could do the same with some inexpensive parts from radio shack. keep in mind that anywhere is good to install the entrance for these items, -but- if you keep them on the streetside rear of the trailer your cords will not need to be so long.

most camprounds or parks i have visited with cable and phone hook ups usually have them within a couple of feet of the electrical hook up.

Don't think so. Its under the street side twin bed near the water heater.... Don't know what it's for.

Here's a picture of my phone and cable tv hookup.

Tim,
Bet that is what it is. That is the aproximate location of the outlet for our little bathroom fan.

I believe that little round hole is meant to be a combustion fresh air inlet , most likely for your water heater gas burner.
Best,
