Emergency help! No trailer lights, can't drive at night.

When we hook up our truck to the trailer we keep burning out the fuse that powers the trailer lights. We still have brakes and turn signals but not the lights.
Has anyone had this problem?

Has anyone ever remove lights from a 2010 Classic? There are no screws.

Could it be because we were camping in very wet weather?

I actually had the same problem getting ready to leave for this trip... it turned out my alternator was going out. Hopefully your issue is an easier, less expensive fix.

Wet weather you mentioned triggered this thought…

Could be a problem with the umbilical cable between trailer and tow vehicle. If so, then water entering the plug could cause a short. Coating the face of the plug with dielectric grease. The contact surfaces fit tightly enough that grease will be scraped off the contacts as you plug in, allowing good contact, but the grease will fill all of the cracks and crevices where water might enter.

It worked fine before but somehow after a weekend of rain it happened.

I believe you are on the right track to getting at those running lights. I tried to find information on the running light assembly via airstream.com. I only found that they are LED sealed on 2010 Classics. Water in one of them may explain the short and fuse blowing. If the fuses are separated by front or amber/red, etc you may be able to more easily pinpoint it. The only other thing I can think of would be the contacts in the plug shorting out.

Could be water in the umbilical connecter, or water in one of the clearance/tail lights. It could even be the license plate light. If you can't track it down yourself, you're going to have to take it to an RV or trailer repair shop, and let them fix it.
