Electrical Repairs

We live in Mobile, AL. We want to take our 84 Excella somewhere to have an electical issue solved/repaired. Does anyone know if Sonny in Montevallo does repairs? Or should we go to Anniston or Panama City? We're looking for a fair price to do the work and a good turn around time. Any suggestions?

Last I checked Sonny was taking a break after losing his dad. I visited him about a year ago and he had the shop all locked up and didn't know when he would reopen. You still may want to check in with him to see if he's up and running again. Who are you referring to in Anniston? I need some work done too.

You appear to be aware that there is now an Airstream dealer in Panama City. They have not been a dealer very long, but I believe that they have sent a service technician to Airstream for training. I do not have any experience with them. With an Airstream this old, about the only positive aspect of dealing with an Airstream dealer would be resticted to whatever consulting advice the technician could/might receive from the Airstream folks.

You don't state whether this is a dc or ac issue. This might influence your choice of service technicians. I suspect that locating a knowledgable and proficient service technician, whether or not he is associsated with an Airstream shop, is the way to approach this problem.

Help is here

What type of electrical issues are you having? There are many resources here on the forum. It might be something you can look at and repair yourself with a little guidance.
