Electrical outlet behind TV

2005 international Behind the front TV there is a hump with a ac receptacle on the side The Tv plugs into one of the slots There is another plug or wire coming out of the hump that plugs into the other slot It comes out of the same hole as the RCA plugs My question is what does the second wire go to ? What does it power? I have look all over the sight and can't find and answer thanks Wayne Click image for larger version

Antenna booster?
While watching the TV, unplug the other and see if the picture degrades.

I think I have figured out the mystery plug I had changed out the TVs and old TV had a power plug that came out of the side hole wrapped with the rest of the RCA plugs It was or is the other end or the end. It was the power source for the old tv. I just need to remove it I am learning as I go Thanks Wayne ps I did figure out how to play the tv sound thru AS speakers on this trip
