electrical help.

On a 1978 31 ft Excella , can I use the 110 volt system without the batteries being installed ? I just acquired this trailer an it needs some work. I dont think Ican get it on the road ,until summerof 2004. I would prefer to buy the new batterys then. Im concerned about damaging the univolt. TIA. Carl.

Some of the univolt chargers use the battery as part of the regulation. You could damage the items connected to your 12v system without a battery in place.

I would get a battery first.
