Duh Moment with 30 Amp Service

This could easily go under the air conditioner topic too.
I recently noticed that my breaker was flipping in the summer heat far more than usually happened. Anything in addition to the air conditioner and the refrigerator running and POP. I speculated that the park had low voltage for a few minutes... then oh duh! My upgrade from a 13.5K air conditioner to a 15K unit! Well, of course it draws more juice. So, water heater is now on gas only and every morning when I get up I was switching the fridge to gas also. Then, in a flash of semi-intelligent thought, i simply used a heavy duty extension cord and plugged the fridge into the 20 amp on the post. I still turn the water heater off over night just to save propane. And I can still get very warm water in the morning. Once I flip the gas on, it gets hot by the time I've brushed my teeth. With these simple precautions I can also run an induction burner OR the microwave.

50 AMP service might be nice, but it is really NOT a major hardship to live with 30 even with a bigger A/C. In this weather, if I get the yen to make 5 lbs of potato salad and 4 dozen hotdogs, I would rather do that outside in a dutch oven or grill. It is camping after all.
Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present.

Install a MicroAir EasySTART to reduce the startup load.

Funny thing though. My 15K does not draw anymore amps than the 13.5K did. The only difference between the two units is the size of the condenser coil. 13.5k has 2 layers and the 15K has 3 layers.
