convertor question

I own a 1972 Avion. When I bought it the convertor wires were cut. I fiqured out how to hook the battery up in the box outside and through a shunt in side. Some of the lights are working off just the battery. There is a blue wire, red wire and white coming out of the convertor. I hooked up the blue and red but there is nothing to hook the white up to. Since the were cut I dont know where it goes. I believe this is why some the the lights arent working. I know the white is negative but where do I wire it to? Thanks for any help.

This is probably too late for you but the white wire is usually ground to the trailer, anywhere you have good connection to metal and/or frame. I'm just starting on an Avion TC.
