Continuously blowing 12A fuse - Troubleshooting Advice?

I think I may have posted this in the wrong forum, so this is a repost. I have 2020 Caravel 20FB and I recently had a cell booster installed which required an internal panel to be removed and replaced. Now I have continuously blowing 12 V fuse. A note: the cell booster is plugged into a 120 Inverter outlet.

The fuse in question is the 15 A fuse that goes to the dinette light, sewer light, compartment light, and the furnace.

Checking it with a multimeter, its hardly drawing any current (less than .2A), but it's drawing 13.5 V, compared to the other fuses that are right around 12.

Another oddity, it's not a stable draw. When the fuse light is bright it's at around 13.5 V, when it dims, it's around 6 V.

My hunch is that it's pinched wire going to the dinette light, but I'm not sure how to check that. Any thoughts on how to proceed?

Definitely sounds like your positive wire is finding a ground to short out.

There are a few loose wires behind those panels and they arent always capped off. Chances are when you has someone take the panel off one of the bare wires is grounding itself.

I would reopen the panel and search there first.

OK thanks. I'll investigate further once out trip is over, pulling the panel apart (either myself or at a dealer) is a bit much right now.

A new tidbit today. I tried playing with the dinette light tonight to see what would happen. If the dinette light is off the fuse light turns out completely. Since it was pretty dim, I'm going to leave it there to see if it randomly turns on with the light switched off at all.

This morning the fuse light was glowing red with the dinette light off. Really strange. Will have to get it all sorted out when this trip is over.
