I am having problems locating a light bulb that goes inside my closets. It has the number 68 stamped on the glass. the bulb is just over an inch long and has an external wire loop on each end that slides over the exposed copper contacts inside the light fixture. I know I'm not the first person to seach for this and any help will be appreciated.

That looks like a dome lamp light for a car. The number 68 should be a crossable number since most are unique numbers. I had to replace the bulb in my refer and it was a dome light bulb, but the one I bought was a bit shorter than the one I took out. Do the clips have any other indentations for other bulb types?

No Bret that's all I could find on them. So far I have struck out at the auto parts and campingworld. I'm not giving up since I have 4 of these lights in my closet. They are not used anywhere else in the trailer.

I needed to visit my local napa dealer, a really small store, for some glue to put a review mirror back on my windshield. While there I showed them the light bulb. She looked in her bulbs and asked how many did I need. Well I got 4 of them. Thanks everyone, why is it I always find it in the last place I look?

Probably little late to be responding to this but for sake of those that may be looking for just the bulb; Someone mentioned the local NAPA store.. I happen to have an O'Reilly store short way from my place.. Sure enough they had the same bulb; not LED which now i know is better but i got couple of packets anyway... Belated but thanks for mentioned the auto parts angle.
