Circuit Breakers, 2023 Classic 33ft FTB

Took a camping trip for my 42-year wedding anniversary. Got all setup only to find half my electric outlets were not working. Galley, desk and bathroom were inop. My past electrical experience told me it was probably a blown (tripped) breaker. Now this is where the hard part starts, trying to locate the breakers. Got out all my nifty manuals and other assorted Airstream books I had purchased. Learned a lot about GFCI outlets and how they work but not one mention of the location of the breaker panel. Next stop was Youtube and Google. Many suggestions said behind the drawer under the refrigerator. There is no drawer and no getting behind the frig. Another suggestion was under the wardrobe. That location reveled a bank of fuses, all for the lights. Also spotted the water pump. Not sure why water and electrical fuses should be near each other, but that's another story. Went to bed without locating the breakers. The next morning while sitting on the couch I heard what sounded like the converter fan coming on. Got on the floor to try and locate the source of the sound. Found it under one of the dinette seats. The other dinette seat houses the Alde system. Pulled off the side panel and there was the breaker control panel. One of the breakers had tripped, reset it and my electrical outlets are in operation again.
We pay a large amount of money for our Airstreams and getting good documentation on equipment and components within our Airstream should be a given. Oh, I forgot to mention the two screws that had fallen out and the metal shavings on the floor next to the breaker panel. The Thor is coming out in Airstream's quality.

Welcome, Dusty. Yes, it does seem like RV manufacturers make a lot of assumptions and cut lots of corners. On both our previous SOB and our current Airstream the AC breaker panel is located fairly close to where the shore power cord attaches. Also, both are plainly visible without having to dig for them.

I haven't actually seen our water pump yet, but I have a pretty good idea of where it is. Glad you found yours.

Congrats on your Classic 33, Dusty! Glad you sorted out your tripped breaker.

Your dealer should have shown you the breaker panel during the walkthrough. Our dealer in NJ at least showed us the panel, but didn't know anything about the Alde. There is a lot of experience on this forum if you have questions.

BTW, the shelves under the wardrobe are most likely part of the CZone, if your Classic 33 is like our '22. Just a guess.

Good luck getting to know your Airstream.

Bill
